Step 1
Open Dream Sight Diary Database and click the Dream Records button on the Main Menu.
Then click the Add New Dream button.
Step 2
Click into the Date Field and enter the date of your dream. (Note: The Dream Id field – you never have to enter anything into this field. When you click the Enter Dream Button, the program auto fills this field incrementally. This gives each dream in your database a unique identifier. The only time you will need it is when you wish to print out a dream you’ve entered. See Printing Dreams with Analysis Questions for more information).
Use a date format that is appropriate for your Regional Settings. Microsoft Access automatically takes your date format from the options you’ve set in Windows. EG: Australians normally have their date format set to display as dd/mm/yyyy, whereas in the USA your date format might be mm/dd/yyyy. Just enter the date as you normally do in your part of the world. If your dates don’t look right, check your date format in Regional Settings in your Windows Control Panel.
Step 3
Tip: You can use the Tab key on your keyboard to move to the next field.
Step 4
Click on the down arrow to select a Dream Category. Set it as None initially. You can come back later and categorise your dreams once you understand them. See also How To Create Dream Categories.
Step 5
Enter your dream into the Dream field. When you enter your dreams try to record as much ‘detailed’ information as you remember. The more details you can include, the better your interpretation will become.
Step 6
At this point, you can begin answering the dream interpretation questions, or you can come back later and answer them.
